Unconfirmed reports out of Chapel Hill late Wednesday afternoon suggest UNC Head Basketball Coach Hubert Davis may be the next Tar Heel to enter the transfer portal.

“There are many schools interested in Hubert Davis right now,” said a UNC insider who asked to be referred to as ‘Roy’. “Texas Barber College has been making overtures since December.”

If Coach Davis decides to vacate his current position, he would not be the first head coach to seek refuge in a portal. In 1983, Maryland Head Basketball Coach Lefty Driesell hid in the customer portal of an airport gift shop to avoid a conversation with Billy Packer, but the NCAA does not recognize the incident as a sanctioned event, although they declared Driesell’s efforts “heroic, necessary and understandable”.

When contacted for comment former Duke Head Basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski expressed interest in the UNC job.

“If the cost of Just For Men hair dye keeps rising I may have to go back to work,” Krzyzewski said. “I’d be honored to coach the Tar Heels. Besides, it would give me chance to teach little Jonny Scheyer a lesson. That little **** took my parking spot at Cameron and ate all of the emergency Skittles in my old office.”
