It was a sad day for listeners of the Bryan Hanks Radio Show last Friday, for that was the beginning of Bryan Hanks’ seventh vacation of the year.

When the Bryan Hanks Radio Show didn’t air last Friday, the radio station was flooded with angry calls from correctional facilities, bingo parlors, and check-cashing joints from Baltimore to Brisbane.

“If I don’t get my daily dose of Bry-Bry I’m just not myself,” said Paulie Taglia, inmate #653 at Hoosegow Correctional Facility in Undershirt, West Virginia. “His dulcet tones really make shiv class more palatable.”

On Friday morning Hanks was momentarily detained by airport security at RDU Airport for trying to sneak a canned ham onto the plane in his carry-on bag.

“It’s a nearly a one-hour flight,” a flabbergasted Hanks told the Raleigh Observer. “That’s my emotional support ham. His name is Wilbur.”
